Cat Eye Productions was responsible for the creative development and all production during the Icons of Football press week in Bangkok, Thailand. Some key objectives included:
• Developing a unique concept that is not your conventional golf or football content.
• Adding local flavor and distinctive Thai elements to showcase the destination.
• Tastefully and stylishly introduce the football Icons.
• Content that demonstrates the Icon’s skill with golf while having fun.
The stunt required extensive location scouting, testing of mechanics, and procuring custom props. We were mindful of our environmental footprint, and used bio-degradable golf balls to not pollute the Chao Phraya River. For post-production, we collaborated and directed the editor, Tom Jones, to ensure that we delivered the Stunt Film within 48 hours of production to be premiered during the press conference announcement.
Throughout the week long production, the Cat Eye Productions team needed to have meticulous planning and adaptability to ensure success. We worked with four high profile former Premier League athletes, Patrick Berger, Robbie Fowler, Paul Ince, and Dwight Yorke while managing a tight production schedule and complex logistics that also involved meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister.
